Question

Restore backup from another Fortigate. Same model.

Hello everybody,

 

I would like to know if could be any issue or problem, if I restore the config file from one Fortigate 200D to another Fortigate 200D, assuming both devices have the same FortiOS version.

    No.  Should be fine as long as versions match.  Reboot the new unit when done.

    You probably want to change the host name after this if you didn't change it from the default one at the old unit, which is the serial number.

    Correct and any priv-ssl/ssh keys for management will be changed . So if you have anything that's automated that uses the ssh-key for example, they might be broke or need to be re-learned
