Replacing a FortiGate 3700D with a FortiGate 900G?

Management has proposed replacing the current 3700D model edge firewall with a 900G unit. The 3700D is capable of handling a throughput of approximately 17 Gbps.

Your question is not so clear if it’s actually a question.
If you’re questioning about the Management’s proposal and concerning about the performance difference, you need to compare both datasheets

The performance of 900G seems to be slightly higher than 3700D, which is 3 generations older than G-Series.

Not enough information here. What are your current connections and user base? System resources? Need more or less? Work with your Fortinet account team and Fortinet partner.

    Hi @ceva156

Please refer datasheet of both devices.

What is the expected load you are looking for in the new 900G?

    Thanks, Salon
