Remove Fortimail Banner fqdn from Smtpd

Hi guys,

 

How can I remove the FQDN from the banner when you telnet 25 to Fortimail?

 

220 Fortimail-Hostname.dominio ESMTP Smtpd; Wed, 11 Mar 2020 17:22:37 GMT

    You can change the banner name (as server) in the system Mail Settings.

    Otherwise it uses hostname + local domain name by default.

    but there is no way of removing it?

    Well you could enter something obscured in there, whatever you wish. What is your requirement of removing it entirely? It is a part of the SMTP protocol. FWIK, it must be presented.
