Question

Remote working VPN

I want to enable safer restrictions on remote working on laptops.

How to configure laptops when outside the corporate network so that when connected to your home Wi-Fi, access to the Internet and other web applications is blocked until you connect to the corporate VPN. But when the laptop is on the corporate network, the connection to the corporate network is unchanged.

Can anyone share more information about this solution? Can this be set to FortiClient and Fortigate?
Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for your question. With FortiGate/Forticlient you are not able to restrict internet access unless user is connected to VPN already. When user is connected to VPN, most of the time SSLVPN you can use split-tunnel either to force all traffic, including internet traffic to pass by FortiGate (and you can apply WebFilter for example) or you can force only corporate traffic to via VPN and other traffic use local internet access.
