Remote Access VPN using Fortiguard DDNS

Yes, it is possible to use FortiGuard DDNS to implement a domain name for a remote access VPN. Once you configure and activate the DDNS domain, such as XYZcompany.fortiddns.com, you can use it as the hostname for your remote access VPN configuration.

To do this, you can follow these steps:

1. Configure the remote access VPN on your FortiGate device. Make sure to set the hostname to the DDNS domain that you created (XYZcompany.fortiddns.com).

2. On the FortiGate device, go to System > Network > DNS and add the FortiGuard DNS server to the list of DNS servers. This will allow the FortiGate device to resolve the DDNS domain name.

3. On the remote client, configure the VPN client to use the DDNS domain name (XYZcompany.fortiddns.com) as the hostname for the VPN connection.

With these steps, the remote client should be able to connect to the FortiGate device using the DDNS domain name that you created using FortiGuard DDNS.
