Registering License after wiping

I'm now about to purchase a 60D with licensing until the end of the year.

I'd like to wipe the device for security purposes.

How would I re-register the device afterwards, and transfer the license to our business account?

    Dave,

If you need to transfer the registration of the unit to your account then you need to open a customer service ticket through the Fortinet support site to do it.  Better still, ask the current owner to open the ticket and request it to be moved to your support account.  In that way any remaining contract ought to move with the registration.

Depending on the type of license the procedure for re-installation may vary. But license like additional vdoms that requires a key to activate at the unit is always available at the support site under Asset tab. If you can't find the particular one you're looking for, you can ask support how to retrieve it after reformatting the drive.

If the firewall was registered under a 'former owner' (separate party's account) and you switch registration to your account, you may lose the remainder of the license term. You should check into that.
