Regarding FortiNAC Base License

Hi everyone,

 

I'll soon install a FortiNAC for one of my customer. They bought FortiNAC with a Base License. So is base license capable of assigning vlan dynamically to a client ? My second question is that is the FortiNAC with a base license capable of authenticating wireless clients via 802.1x or Mac-Authentication ?

    Good afternoon!

    The Base FortiNAC license can do MAB.  But it cannot do full EAP 802.1x

    It can also do vlan assignment based on user/host policy.  However the use of compliance policies, Guest Management and other options will not be available.  Please use the following data sheet as a description of what each of the license tiers provide:
