Redirect Users to a Specific Page Instead of Certificate Error with Certificate Inspection Enabled

Currently, we are using SSL inspection with the "certificate-inspection" profile and have Web Filter enabled.

However, since the FortiGate certificate has not been manually imported into the client PCs, users see a certificate error screen when traffic is blocked.

We would like to redirect users to a specific page instead of displaying the certificate error page, without importing the FortiGate certificate on the client PCs.

If there is a way to achieve this, could you please advise?

if you are seeing the blocked webpage from below, that’s not because of the certificate not being imported into the PCs

it’s the default webfilter block page that is being displayed on a website is part of a blocked category or a static url in the webfilter profile.

if you are being displayed another block page, please share it

“certificate-inspection” doesn’t require client devices to have FGT’s default certificate installed. If a client device is showing a “certificate error”, that’s an error of the web site’s certificate. Take a close look at the error message. It should be telling you the reason why it’s blocked.
