I am hoping someone can assist me. I a currently trying to work through pushing user definitions and user groups from manager to remote devices. Is this possible and if so how do I go about accomplishing this? I simply want to update the remote device user list and add the user to a group. I see the user definition object area in manager however I don' t think this is the tool to push user configs to devices. Can someone please clarify this? Thanks

Hi cdixon, You can in fact use FortiManager to define and push users and groups down to the FortiGate - that is one of it' s primary functions in fact. First off, it is important to understand that you can turn things on and off in the FMGR GUI, so please ensure you have defaults or everything turned on. There is a button called " Display Options" at the top left of the Policy & Objects tab. You can use this to granularly turn on features that you want to see in the GUI. At the bottom left pane under Objects -> User & Device, you can create individual users as well as groups. Like any other object, it will not push down to the FortiGate unless you use it in policy. Hope this helps! Cheers!
