Hello,

I'm hoping this is the right section to post this. I have a question on how to assign a range of public IPs to a range on a VLAN ip range. I'm currently using a Fortigate 300D with latest firmware, any help much appreciated.

Note: I have setup a basic network with 4 VLAN. 2 of the Vlans I need to configure for VPN IP addresses.

Example:

This Public IP range

65.155.11.143

65.155.11.144

65.155.11.145

65.155.11.146

Need help!

    Welcome to the forums.

First off, the Fortinet CookBook is a great place for information (http://cookbook.fortinet.com/fortios-5-6/)

Next what you are looking to do is create Virtual IP assignments. These are used as destination NAT assignments from public IPs to private IPs behind the firewall. You map one public to one private. (or one subnet to an equal subnet, but I don't wish to complicate things...) It doesn't matter what VLAN the private node is on until you craft the policy.

    Thanks for the info.

I got it working I configured the policy and is doing what intend it to do. Now if I manually set my computer IP to a private IP now I can go to google and search for "what's my IP" and now I see Public IP I want to see. See attached image and I hope this helps anyone.

Here is a screenshot of the policy:
