Potential issues with setting MTU size of 9216?

Does anyone know of any potential negatives with increasing MTU frames size to 9216 for internal traffic (ie. not internet bound)?

This is on a 2000E running 6.0.x and LAG interfaces with about 15 vdoms

i'm thinking in terms of content processing, np offloading etc. i know NP6 supports it

off the face of it i can think of potential benefits if it reduces the number of frames
