Port Forwarding Checks

Hi Guys,

I have a hopefully quick and easy question...

Does Fortigate do a port status check to ensure a forwarded port destination is open?  If so, what is the frequency?

background: I am getting SSL error on my TSM server every 20 minutes; all day, every day.  I believe this is the Fortigate but I don't know enough about the Fortigate.
