Question

No Save Password Auto Connect and Always Up features in FortiClient

Hi guys,

Fortigate model - 30E

FortiGate firmware version - v5.4.1,build1064 (GA)

FortiClient version - 6.0.5.0209

 

In SSL-VPN Portals - full-access settings all three features are enabled

Allow client to save password - On Allow client to connect automatically - On Allow client to keep connections alive - On

 

However in the FortiClient I can't se those options for some reason.

 

Could someone please advise why is it so.

    Hi, as far as I know... since version 6.0, you need EMS for managing FC. https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/6.0.5/administration-guide/424075/feature-comparison-of-standalone-and-managed-modes

    It is also recommended to use same versions, means your FC has to match your FOS version. I would recommend to upgrade your FG to at least 5.6.13 (5.4 is very old and as I know EOL) then downgrade your FC to 5.6.x Otherwise, if you go 6.0 or higher, you need EMS (10 licenses for free).
