Need FortiClient 6.0/6.2 Offline Installer (EOL Device, Online Installer Fails)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to connect to an older FortiGate device (FortiOS 5.4), so I need to use an older version of FortiClient (6.0 or 6.2).

Since the device is EOL, I’m unable to download the installer from the official Fortinet support portal. I managed to get the 6.2 online installer, but it fails during installation with errors related to an invalid digital signature and MSI error code 2711.

Would anyone be able to share a FortiClient VPN 6.0 or 6.2 offline installer (full package) or point me to a reliable source?

I would really appreciate your help.

Hi

You can get any version from the Fortinet support portal, but this may require a valid contact.

Thanks for your reply.

However, according to the official response I received from Fortinet, firmware downloads are now restricted to devices with an active support contract. Since my FortiGate-100D has already reached End of Support (EOS), I am unable to access the downloads from the support portal.

Below is the official response from Fortinet for reference:

Greetings of the day.

This is in reference to our email sent on 4/7/2026.

Thank you for reaching us on the Firmware download query.

Starting FortiCloud 23.2.a, Fortinet has made changes to the Firmware download page in the support portal.
Customer can now only download the firmware for products that have an active support contract registered on it.

Upon reviewing the SN [My Serial Number] / FortiGate-100D, please be informed that this model had already reached End of Support dated 07/26/2023.
As such, these model is no longer supported by Fortinet.

This ticket is being moved to Pending Close Confirmation. And will automatically close in the next 5 days if no further updates are received.

So unfortunately, downloading from the support portal is not an option in my case.
