Good Afternoon Colleagues

I hope you are doing well .

When moving from a network with HQ (Datacenter) and many remote branches that using MPLS to Fortinet SD-WAN , Does HQ (Datacenter)  & remote branches need to have static  IP addresses ?

Best Regards

Hello,

Normally if you are working with MPLS you will have a static IP, what type of internet are you working with?

Hello

There is no current setup . I just need to know for any future design / implementation with our customers.

Let me ask the question differently ,  Does SD-WAN requires  HQ (Datacenter)  & remote branches to have static  IP addresses ?

Best Regards

if you want to establish IPsec VPN connections from the branches to the Hub , then only the Hub requires static IPs since it would be configured to accept remote connections from any IP ( dialup server )

L.E. branches between them can create dynamic tunnels using ADVPN via the Hub and communicate between them
