Moving an HA cluster

Hi there, I have an HA cluster of 2 FG1000A devices. I need to move both of them to a new location in our telco equipment rack. I would like to have as little downtime as possible during the move, and was thinking I could move them one at a time, with the one not being moved at that time active and providing services. What is the reccomended procedure for me to follow? Should I move the master first, or the slave unit? And how do I from, the GUI, shut down a specific unit? Thanks very much!

Which unit to move -- Does not matter, pick one and move it.. This will trigger failover if you moved the master. Guessing that your hb interface wont be able to connect to the unit left at the old location. I would have someone else handy to turn off the other unit, before you power back up the unit you just moved. Relocated and reconnect the second unit, which should then become the slave. If you want to turn off a specific unit, you can use the " exe ha manage" command to manage the slave device, And to figure out which one is slave vs master you can use " get sys ha info" . Just my two cents. I' m sure some other board members will have there own comments. Alex

Thanks very much for this - very helpful. I appreciate it. I will move the cluster (one unit at a time some upcoming evening or weekend following your suggestions. The CLI commands were helpful, too, although I quickly figured out that " get sys ha info" should actually be " get sys ha status" - but you got me on the right track and I appreciate it!

Wouldn' t it be better to sync the two before shutting down the second unit? Stretch some cables between them?
