Mismatch Between Source and Device Columns in FortiView (FortiOS 7.4.11)

After upgrading the firewall to FortiOS v7.4.11, I noticed inconsistencies in FortiView. For example, the information displayed in the Source column does not match what is shown in the Device column.

As shown, the IP address in the Source column ends with 211.35, while in the Device column it shows 211.62. Additionally, the MAC addresses are also different.

What is the problem ?

    Hi @meriem ,

Based on my understanding, you are examining the FortiView Source option, and when hovering over a specific device row, the GUI displays mismatched information. This appears to be a GUI-related issue.

Would it be possible to upgrade the device firmware to version 7.6.x or the latest release to see if the issue persists?

Otherwise, you can collect the logs listed below and report them to the support team for further assistance.

    #dianose user device list
    #exe tac report
    #diagnose debug application miglogd 0x71000
    #diagnose debug enable
    #diagonse fortiview time
    #diagonse fortiview re source

stop the debug using command :
    #diagnose debug disable
    #diagnose debug reset

And collect logs using Fortinet Support Tool : https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Troubleshooting-Tip-Collect-GUI-slowness-and-errors-debugs-via/ta-p/193657

If you have found a solution, please like and mark it as solved to make it easily accessible for everyone.

    Thanks,
    Mayur Padma
