Take a look at this: https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-Hardware-switch-Software-switch-VLAN-switch-Use/ta-p/210153

It will help you bridge the VLANs between the switches if they are not directly connected.

If the Mikrotik device has router capabilities I would strongly suggest to use routing between this devices. Spanning VLANs over devices that offer L3 support will not scale well and since OP is still in design phase I would suggest to avoid that.

Hi @hadjieff,

You can put lan2 and lan3 in the same hardware switch and create VLAN100 and VLAN200 sub-interfaces under that hardware switch.

Hardware switch: https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.4.1/administration-guide/100999/hardware-switch

VLAN: https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.4.1/administration-guide/402940/vlan#To5
