Migrating from profile-based to policy-based mode.

Hello.

We have an FG-401F firewall, divided into a few VDOMs, all in profile-based mode. Now we need to convert one of the VDOMs to policy-based mode, and as I know in this case all policies are removed. Is there any way to automatically migrate policies from profile-based mode to policy-based, so we don’t have to recreate all of them manually? Maybe some sort of tool or script?

Hi Elvin

The best option I see is to create a new policy based vdom and to recreate the new rules manually from scratch. This will take time but has minimal downtime on cut-over.

Thanks for the reply. As I understood there is no any automated way of migrating policies between these two modes, and all options lead to manual creation of them.
