Migrating FAZ Appliances

Hello,
I have a 300E chassis, and we are going to migrate it to an 810G chassis.

We need to replicate the 300E configuration on the new FAZ chassis. 
Do we need to update the 810G’s firmware to the same version as the 300E?
Do we need to create the same number of ADOMS on the new box as on the 300E?

    My question is: Do I need to create the same number of ADOMS on the new 810G server as there were on the old 300E server that is being retired?

    Hi ​@R00k13-NS ,

    You do not need to create ADOM manually as you can upload the same config to the new box and ADOM config will be restore. Make sure license status is same between the devices.

    You can back up the configuration of one FortiAnalyzer and then use the GUI or CLI to migrate the settings to another FortiAnalyzer on the same or different platform or version.

    If you encrypted the FortiAnalyzer configuration file when you created it, you need the password to decrypt the configuration file when you migrate the file to another FortiAnalyzer model.

    Make sure to 

    1. Enable the option to Migrate from a different platform.

      Thank you for your reply.

      So, when it comes to upgrading my box, I just need to make sure that both the old and new boxes have the same license type, right?
      Regarding the firmware version, does the new box (810G) need to be on the same version as the old box (300E)? Currently, the 300E is on version 7.4.7

      Can the logs from the old FAZ (300E) be transferred to the new FAZ (810G)?
      I currently have approximately 3TB of logs on the 300E, and I want to transfer them to the new box, but I understand that this could take a long time to replicate, right?
      Of course, assuming the logs can actually be transferred. 😂

      The plan is to migrate the FAZ box while keeping the same version.
      Are there any specific considerations you recommend keeping in mind?
