Logs from FortiGate firewall is not getting forwarded to syslog server and when checking the route, it is going to wrong firewall port no. After clearing the session for the syslog server as destination, the issue gets resolved.

This is an intermittent issue but need a clear suggestion for this behavior.

Hello Omkar,

Do you have HA or SDWAN or both?

Can you share us the routing table?

CLI:

get router info routing-table all
get router info routing-table detail <syslog IP/x.x.x.x>
show system ha

Regards.

Yes it has both HA and SD wan. The issue is it is taking different route than expected. After clearing the session of mentioned dst IP, the logs are being forwarded to the expected route. this is a frequent issue observed. FortiGate firmware version 7.0.17.
