Link-monitor parameters impact

Hi guys,

 

I have two ISPs and I have configured link-monitor to trigger a failover event when one of the ISPs fails . With the default parameters and when doing tests, it takes around 30 seconds to switch to the secondary ISP when the primary fails. I am going to set the interval parameter to 1 second to make FortiGate to switch to the secondary ISP around 5 seconds. Can this change to impact the performance of FortiGate or is this change very CPU intensive?

    Hi,

     

    If someone is interested on this, I have set the interval time to 1 second and the FortiGate's CPU usage remained the same.
