LDAP Auth in an Active Directory Tree

Hi to all,

maybe anybody have the same behavior...

We would enable users (from child domains) to authenticate at the Fortimail to access the User Quarantine by Web GUI.

I was able to configure and successfully testing an E-Mail release for an Root Domain Account, so my configuration for this domain seems to be ok. We have about 25 Child Domains and there are Users which should also be able to authenticate at the Fortimail appliance.

If I try to query für the SMTP address from the root DC by LDAP (389) the LDAP query failed for the child domain users.

Is it really required to create an LDAP Profile with the LDAP Server for every Child Domain or is it possible to query also the child domain users from the root DC?
