Issues after upgrading to 7.4.12M

We encountered some issues accessing some URLs after upgrading from 7.2.12M to 7.4.12M using FGT401E on HA.

applications like MS Teams get disconnected suddenly and users reported that access to some external portal become very laggy.

upon checking the traffic log, we noticed that the Application name was classify as 2x which is a service group in our firewall.

under this group, there is HTTP, HTTPs, TDP, 2X publishing agent port and 2X terminal server agent port.

due to the many issues encountered, we have rollback to 7.2.12M

    Starting in version 7.4, the behavior of how traffic logs display when a service group is used in a firewall policy has changed. The application name column now shows the service group name instead of listing the individual matching service. In earlier versions, even when a service group was used in the policy, the application name column displayed the names of the individual services.

      beside this, we also have issues with MS teams calls getting disconnected suddenly and access to cloud application like Oracle OCI getting slow access. users reported that when they access the Oracle ERP they need to wait as the page have issues loading.

      so once you roll back to 7.2 did it worked?

      hi,

      did you open a TAC case to troubleshoot/validate it’s due to the new firmware?

      did the app stabilize when you did a roll back?

      rollback did help to stabilize the connections. 

      no more complain from users.

      since you have already roll back

      did you collected tac report or any forward traffic logs where it shows deny logs

      did you open tac ticket with logs from 7.4.12?

      you have to specify the services port and regarding 7.4.12 version the services name change related to teams and vpn so please check and these services if not available in the services
