is there sslvpn only Forticlient available?

Hello,

I supplied one of our customers with a Forticlient installation software and told the customer to select 'vpn only' to install.

The customer mentions that he doesn't have this option and that the whole package is installed, including Antivirus, which causes conflicts with existing AV software on his clients.

Is there a vpn only client available or can we create that from the package?

Thanks and regards,

Ralph Willemsen

If I remember correctly, the 'VPN only' option is present in certain versions only. I use v5.2.4 and IIRC it had that option. So you'll have to check the Release Notes for FC.

Second option: FTNT offers a Forticlient toolkit (at a cost) which allows to customize a FC, add branding etc. I think it's a onetime licence for the gateway FGT.

Forticlient is a never ending nightmare regarding features, interoperability, licensing. But once it runs, it runs.

thanks a lot. I had in the meantime logged a ticket with Fortinet and they supplied me a vpn only client which works perfectly.

Kind regards,
