Is possible block the transference of video and imagen trough the whatsapp?

Hi guys,

 

   

      I have this request from a client that I do not know how to solve or if it is possible at least, the request is to block any type of video and image that is sent or received through whatsapp, in other works only text is allowed. Is this possible?

    Hi!

     

    you could try to create an application security profile which blocks this app:

     

    WhatsApp_File.Transfer

     

    This should block the sending / receiving of all files.

    Thanks for your prompt response, this policy affects any type of file you are transferring correctly, .jpg, etc etc etc. The app keeps running just by sending text, right?

     

    I'm sorry, I need to be sure before I try my client first.

    Hi lucio,

     

    as long as you dont block the application WhatsApp, the sending of text messages should not be affected.

    In the first step you could set the application security profile to just monitor the traffic, then you can see how the applications are detected.
