IPSEC tunnel configuration via fortimanager ?

Hi,

 

I would like to know if there is a way to configure an IPSEC site-to-site tunnel using FortiManager without using the IPSEC template ?

Hi, in general, you have 2 places to configure VPNs in FMG - inside Device Manager of specific Fortigates, or to enable VPN Central Management and then you will have a dedicated to it pane in the GUI. None of them require templates. So, I am not sure of what templates you speak about - is it by chance ADVPN templates (?), which default many settings and make it faster to configure, but again - not a must as well.
