IPS Beta Signatures

What is the set fds-statistics option (Enable/disable FortiGuard statistics) and what does it do, aka what do we lose by disabling it (enabled by default)?

The issue started from the fact that we were getting SNMP traps for IPSSignatureTriggered but we were not able to correlate the trap to a security event in the FortiAnalyzer. 

It was determined that the issue was only occurring on beta signatures and the recommendation was to upgrade to 5.2.4 or later.  We have a number of firewall that are on 5.2.3 and it would be difficult to upgrade in a timely manner.

It was then suggested we try the following:

conf sys global

set fds-statistics disable
