Installing my own SSL cert on FortiGate

I'm building out a remote captive portal and am wondering if it's possible to install existing wildcard SSL cert onto my FortiGate 51E (FortiOS 5.6.2) rather than generate one on the box and get it signed.

    yes

     Build it as a pfx and import it.  You might have problems depending on  FortiOS version, so be prepared to do it via cli

    It doesn't accept my pfx cert. it wants another format, it seems.
