How to import Fortigate FG-90D configurations in FG-200D

Good Day !

 

We were using FG-90D in HA Mode, due to some limitation we recently purchased FG-200D for HA Mode.

 

Can we import 90D configurations in our new FG-200D without any downtime ?

 

Needs your guidance in this regards will be highly appreciated.

    Hello, I'm afraid you will have downtime, though nog that much. The HA cluster needs identical equipment, so hooking up a 200d as standby and then do a failover will not work I assume.

    I would import the 90d config into the 200d (make sure you have same firmware), then boot up the 200d, check the config (eventually with FortExplorer and a usb cable), then move all cables to new environment.

    Too speed up things, you can decide to manually enter the same mac addresses as the 90d, but this is also tricky.
