How to access Gui Fortigate using FMG IP, just change the port on URL according to FortiManager IP

which will guide you to take remote access of Fortigate from Fortimanager and after that you can make changes according to you and it will reflect to Fortimanager as well.

May I suggest that if you've got a Fortimanager, you stick with trying to do all your configuration through the Fortimanager, and insist that others do the same unless they've got a very good reason to do otherwise. Some changes to a device's configuration made on the device will be reflected in the Fortimanager right away, others will not, and the difference won't always result in "pleasantness".
