How do I activate a free license (Login credentials not working)

Hello,

I downloaded FGT_VM64_KVM-v7.4.11.M-build2878-FORTINET.out.kvm from the Fortinet site but only thing in the extracted folder is the fortios.qcow2 file (103mb).

Why doesn't admin or maintainer login work? I can't activate the free  license or activation via web on VPC in Eve-ng . I dont know the ip of the firewall to even try.

Could that be why I am not getting login info because wrapper.txt.is missing?

I am unable to login to get to the web gui to activate license.    Any help will be appreciated.

I ended up resolving my own issue.  the qcow2 file wasn't enough so i created a wrapper.txt in WInSCP  & renamed it back to its original name hda.qcow2.

then in eve-ng ssh... I ran "/opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions"

readded fortigate and spinned it up ssh.

now its up and running with the admin no password credentials working.

got the ip and logged into the web GUI and activated the eval license.  Issue resolved

hi,

the default password for the admin should be <blank> , just press enter and it should prompt to enter a new password.

afterwards you can set a ip address to a interface of your choosing.

That doesn't work says login info incorrect.  Do you know where I can get an image that works?
