How can I configure ha fortigate on diffirent locations?

I got two fortigate at diffirent locations. Both have a single wan ip.

Site 1 wan ip: x.x.x.x

Site 2 wan ip: y.y.y.y

Other interfaces on fortigates will be used for internal network.

I want to configure ha these two fortigates over wan interfaces. How can i do this?

Is there any reason why you want to configure 2 FGT devices in different locations for HA?

It is required. We have 2 different locations and 2 fortigates. These are requested to work in ha mode.

I don't think it's possible. The most important thing is, how can the HA heartbeat interface(s) talk to each other to keep the cluster alive?
