HA shows out-of-syn after the upgrade of switch and reboot

We have recently upgarde the fortiswitch and fortiswitches are managed by fortigate, after upgrading fortiswitch and it got rebooted, we have observed that HA got out-of syn for sometime.

 

is this a normal behaviour ??

Hello Jivesh Sharma,

If the hbdev interfaces are connected through the switches that you had performed the upgrade this is obvious. The hbdev will go down and will cause the out-of-sync. But will sync back once the switches are properly back online and run the operation.

 

Also, if the switches are directly connected with cluster, and override is disabled, there is a chance of failover as number of monitored interface can cause it.
