Groups of APS

Hello

It is possible the following scenario

1 SSID in all locations (same SSID)

4 different locations

Each location will have different subnets

1 Fortigate that administer them all

 

We don't want 4 SSIDs with different subnets or something like that. 

 

The client is looking for an easy way to know where his users are, in which locations, and even if the name of the APS can tell, they want to do more like giving each location a different subnet,  maybe they have rules for each location.

Any ideas?

    Hi!

     

    Yes this is possible.

    in order to re-use the SSID you have to set the following via CLI:

     

    config wireless-controller setting

    set duplicate-ssid enable

     

    Then you are able create 4 Wifi Interfaces with different Subnets but the same SSID.

    If you are tunneling the Traffic back to the central FGT, putting the 4 Wifi Interfaces in one Zone would make things a bit easier.
