Google calendar server not trusted

My phone keeps telling me the server for google.calendar.com is not trusted. The certificate is apparently valid through 2056. What is going on and how do I prevent this message from recurring endlessly on my iPhone?

Hi clivech,

I got the following advice - please let me know if it helps:

1. Check Date and Time Settings

Ensure that your iPhone's date and time settings are correct. Incorrect settings can cause certificate validation issues.

  • Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
  • Enable Set Automatically if it's not already enabled.

2. Update iOS

Make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS, as updates often include security fixes and improvements.

  • Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
  • If an update is available, download and install it.

3. Clear Safari Cache

Clearing the cache can sometimes resolve certificate issues.

  • Go to Settings > Safari.
  • Tap Clear History and Website Data.

4. Check Certificate Trust Settings

If you have manually installed certificates, ensure they are trusted:

  • Go to Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust Settings.
  • Ensure that any relevant certificates are enabled under ENABLE FULL TRUST FOR ROOT CERTIFICATES.

5. Reinstall the Profile

If you are using a configuration profile that includes certificates, try reinstalling it:

  • Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
  • Remove the existing profile and reinstall it if necessary.

6. Contact Support

If the issue persists, consider contacting Apple Support or your IT department (if applicable) for further assistance.
