Question

Gambling site bypassing Web Filter despite Static URL and Category block

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some guidance on an issue I'm having with my Web Filter configuration. A specific betting/gambling website is still accessible to users, even though I have explicitly blocked it.

Here is what I have configured so far:

Blocked the Gambling category in the applied Web Filter profile.

Added the specific website to the Static URL Filter with the action set to "Block".

Any help or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Sorry if this has been attempted before, but have you tried checking logs to see what firewall policy is being applied to the workstation when trying to access that website?  Other than that if you can provide the name of the website you're trying to block I can see about testing it in our enviornment and see what happens for us.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, the firewall policy handling this traffic does have the Web Filter profile applied to it. The specific page in question is the following: https://tienda.betplay.com.co/

Hopefully this helps you at the bare minimum for a support ticket with TAC, in our environment, I tried what you described and had the same results.

Confirmed other gambling sites do not work on our category but this one for whatever reason does.
