FWF60F Slow GUI on 7.6.6

So I finally upgraded to 7.6.6 on my FWF60F and initially things were running fine. But now that is has been up for a few days, the GUI loading has gotten really slow. Doing a diag sys top, I am seeing the httpsd process as zombie and on each update, the process id is incrementing.

Anyone else seeing issues like this on the smaller units?

Hi @wataru

Could you please share the output of a few commands so we can identify the memory issue? I copied the commands from another post:

To identify what is causing the high memory usage, please share the outputs of the following four commands:

diag hardware sysinfo memory

diagnose sys top-mem 150

diag sys top-all 2 50 1

dia debug crashlog read

After we determine what is causing the high memory usage, we can run a script to capture deeper logs and identify the exact items contributing to the issue. I will share the suitable script after checking the logs of the 4 commands above.

Please help to share the log to my email if possible, bhoang@fortinet.com

I am Bill from Fortinet. Thank you

Bill

Hi All,

There is a temporary workaround for this issue is to  disable ‘Resolve unknown applications’ under the global log settings.

besides looking deep into FortiOS glitches, have you tried the obvious: clearing the cache on your browser, and trying out different browsers?

I've seen up to 5-6 httpsd processes on a small FGT concurrently which otherwise was behaving nicely. You could check if processes crash often:

in CLI

"diag debug crash read"

and post it here.
