Function of the option "Apply this profile based on RADIUS attributes"

Hello all,

 

I just wanted to confirm what the setting "Apply this profile based on RADIUS attributes" does.

 

Is it client attributes the FAC receives from the RADIUS server upstream? Or attributes the RADIUS client sends to the FAC?

    Hello,

     

    we are talking about FAC / Authentication / RADIUS Service / Clients / <client>

    ... FAC can use one of multiple profiles and embedded authentication options for the single RADIUS client , based on data (AVP pairs) received from the client.

     

    For example you can distinguish between back-end resources used based on received AVP, and therefore authenticate WiFi users against FAC Guest management and wired corporate users against AD/LDAP users synced to FAC user accounts with 2FA (token), all from a single RADIUS client IP/FQDN.
