FortiWeb HW license validation after upgrade

Hello!

If we upgrade activated FortiWeb HW to the new firmware will it connect to the FortiGuard for license validation? I ask about that because FortiWeb is deployed in the closed enviroment with limited access to the Internet and I worry that we get unknown status of license after upgrade

Hello,

The timely validation will happen only for VM's. For Hardware FWB once it is registered it should work. In general, after the upgrade Hardware FWB it does not require any validation. So you can upgrade your device in a closed environment also.
