fortivpn on debian: Failed to set creadential

I am trying to establish a VPN connection from an Amazon Web Services instance (debian) to my company using forticlient_vpn_7.0.0.0018_amd64.deb.

With forticlient on Windows I can connect to my company.

Now on Debian:

1. with "fortivpn edit KMC" I could create a configuration.

2. fortivpn connect KMC --user="Edmund Mergl" ends with the following error:

Failed to set creadential. No such interface "org.freedesktop.Secret.Collection" on object at path /org/freedesktop/secrets/collection/login

This seems to be a fairly common error message. I tried installing gnome-keyring, but that didn't help.

The path /org/freedesktop does not exist.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello Edmund,

It is Debian on AWS. Please check this github links about some issues related to Debian based distros and AWS
No such interface 'org.freedesktop.Secret.Collection' on object at path /org/freedesktop/secrets/collection/login · GitHub

Fails to run on docker · Issue #45 GitHub

Hope this helps
