FortiOS 5.4.2 FG60D question

Reading the 5.4.2 release notes is not clear on the subject, has 5.4.2 fixed the disk partition mapping issue so a straight upgrade from 5.2.8 will work without config loss or extra manual steps? This is on the 60D that has the known issue with 5.4.0 and 5.4.1.

I opened a TT to clarify this but their first response from TAC is saying I could upgrade our FG60D from 5.2.9 directly to 5.4.2. The boot problem happens only when you try to upgrade it to 5.4.0 or 5.4.1.
