Fortinet policy hit count of last one/six months

Hi Team,

 

We are using Fortinet 1200D firewall in our organization, The client is asking for sharing policy hit count of last one month which are created in current time.

Even though I have checked but could not find it.

Could you please help us how to check policy hit count of last one month in Fortinet firewall.

Hi Umesh,

 

In firewall GUI under Firewall Policy options, you may add the 'Hit Count' as an additional column to display. It should display the hit count, but would be cumulative value from when the system started and not a periodical update.

Hi Jin,

 

Our Firewall is in a live environment, can you please help us, how to add cumulative value.

Is there any impact while changing these things. if you don't mind could you please share those steps or screenshots with us.

Hi Umesh,

The hit count values are automatically updated by system. There is no impact in adding a GUI column 'hit count' to view the current statistics/counters for each firewall policy(right click on any of the column fields in firewall policy page to add additional fields.)
