Fortinet Explict Proxy - VDOM

Dear All,

 

We are running Multiple VDOM and we want to run explict proxy for each VDOM.

 

I am able to enable the feature for the VDOM. the inside IP address of each VDOM is the proxy IP address for the clients.

 

I wanted to know the flow for explict proxy does it use root vdom for DNS or how does it work because i keep getting gateway error 101 or just a dialog box with not able to connect.

 

Can someone help me what should be allowed and how the traffic should flow.

 

Without proxy internet is coming to  end users. Can some one help me with how to fix this issue.

    If your doing explicit the  traffic is manage by that vdom. The fortigate system dns  servers that's defined  would be used for any vdom.

    Hi,

    Keep getting DNS error or Gateway error and i am not able to fix that.

     

    is it required to set per vdom dns and source ip address for that VDOM so that DNS is resolved properly.

     

    What could be the reason for Gateway error?
