Question

FortiNAC integration with Fortimail

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to integrate FortiNAC with FortiMail. I managed to get it working after making some tweaks in FortiMail policilies, but I want to confirm something. In the Authentication section, which mailbox should be used? Should I create a dedicated mailbox in FortiMail for FortiNAC and use it for authentication there?

Thanks in advance.

Hi BH

Usually in companies (when it is safe to do so) they authorize the device IP address in MTA to send without authentication. So in your FNAC conf you can disable the authentication button.

Hello AEK,

That exactly what I did, those are the tweaks I talked abt. But I wanted to understand that part.

Hi BH

If you don't want to authenticate then you can use any sending address (even not existing) as long as the domain name is coherent (your domain).

E.g.: nac@yourdomain.com
