Fortinac-f 7.6 and Accesspoint detection

Hi!
I want to use 802.1x MAB to recongnize FortiAPs connected to FortGate controlled switch.
So I enabled this setting: "Enable Network Access Policy for Wireless Access Points"

Now I found, that Accesspoints, that were found before this setting, are not in Hosts view(this is not problem) and their ports goes to WAP Uplink mode in NAC inventory.

After I enabled "Enable Network Access Policy for Wireless Access Points",(and created OUI based profiling rule) this one still keeps WAP uplink "state" and it's OK.

BUT:

When I now add new AP to another port, Port Connection state is :
"Registered Host"

And MAC address of AP goes to hosts list.

Can I force new APs to go same state, as the first one?

I use radius attribute group to return all needed VLAN, so that part works.

I think it will depend on whether the FortiGate knows that AP as its own to see it is a WAP uplink. The FortiGate must then have its interfaces resynchronized (the option on the FortiGate in the inventory).

Best regards, Markus

Fortigate's Wlan controller can see accesspoints and they are accepted on fortigate.

BUT NAC doesn't show FortiAPs on device tree in new sites... Interface resync doesn't help.

Only difference between these is, that First site was created with NAC version 7.6.4. And currently we are running 7.6.5.

A bug in 7.6.5?

Was the FGT firmware also recently upgraded in the meantime? There is an API change in FGT 7.6.5 that breaks AP discovery and may affect newly added FAPs.
Some details can be found here: Troubleshooting Tip: FortiNAC cannot discover FortiAP’s after upgrading FortiGate to FortiOS 7.6.5
