LS,

I'm trying to install a new GUEST SSID using the fortimanager, 7.2.8.

------- Start to retry --------  FW003 $  config wireless-controller vap FW003 (vap) $  edit "WK-GUEST" FW003 (WK-GUEST) $  config mac-filter-list FW003 (mac-filter-list) $  edit 1 FW003 (1) $  next FW003 (mac-filter-list) $  end FW003 (WK-GUEST) $  next FW003 (vap) $  end   ---> generating verification report  ( wireless-controller vap mac-filter-list ) 	add entry 1 <--- done generating verification report   install failed

Any thoughts?

Hi @Willem_K_63 ,

If you don't need "mac-filter-list" in "WK-GUEST", you need to remove "entry 1":

In your case, you have "ID entry 1" but with no content. You just need to select it to delete.

You can find this section via "CLI Configuration".

Hey Willem,

it looks like your FortiManager is trying to install an empty entry in the mac filter list for some reason?

Can you double-check the mac filter list for the "WK-Guest" entry, and check if  an entry '1' exists? If yes, and it is not needed, try deleting it and installing again.

Cheers,

Debbie

Hi Debbie,
Yes, indeed, that is what is looks like. However, we do not need it and it is also not configured. There is no entry.

PS. I have done this on 2 FGT now, both with fully equal behavior.
it was solved by doing a retrieve from the device and a reinstall of the policy package and device settings.
