Fortimail License not reachable!! Crippled!

My fortimail appliance (VM) cannot reach the fortinet servers to verify my license so my appliance has stopped working. I only have 8x5 support so they won' t help me until tomorrow! one two screens are reachable in the gui. under license status, it says " vmware: lost communication" I deployed an entirely new VM and as soon as I uploaded the license file, same problem!!!! I wish I knew a fix.

    It is imperative that the VM has internet access.... Once it does you can initiate an update at CLI: exec update now

    i can ping the fortiguard IP from my pc, but not from fortimail. it is like they blacklisted me. i can ping www.google.com from fortimail. My firewall gets fortiguard updates fine.

    this was a way bigger issue than I thought. our ISP was having routing problems. we just have too many networks and it only affected some of them.
