Fortimail in HA active-pasive mode

I will have to deploy in a few days two fortimail units in ha, active pasive mode.

I was reading on the internet and found the video ( http://cookbook.fortinet.com/how-to-configure-active-passive-ha-mode-in-fortimail-video/ ) on fortigate cookbok website but I can not understand how should the heartbeat interface and the mail traffic interface be configured.

In the example scheme port1 is used for mail traffic and port5 and port6 for heartbeat but the configuration shows nothing about heartbeat interfaces.

Can you help me ?

    video is just an approach to setup;

    better go the Fortimail-admin-523.pdf  at http://docs.fortinet.com/fortimail/admin-guides

    Page 300+ has a step by step procedure for an example as yours.

     

    You'll need address for the interface you'll use as hearbeat; and use it thereafter in HA config

    How can we check the HA Synchronization of data between the Active-Passive unit for the Fortimail unit.
