Fortimail cannot change default admin account

Hi,

I’m trying to change default admin account, but after rename command in the cli I have error:

fml (admin) # rename admin to admin_disabled
Command failed(-37). Error string:

Is not possible to change this account on fortimail?

To address the issue of renaming the default admin account in FortiMail, it is important to note that the default "admin" account is typically non-deletable and non-renamable through standard CLI commands. The error message you are encountering, command failed(-37), indicates that the operation is not permitted.

    ok, but this is strange for me because on Fortigates I could rename admin account, so I thought this is the same environment.

    leave the default admin account and secured its password accordingly. then create a new admin name according to your likes and set its permission /role as admin. I guess thats to good to go.
